You no longer need to create your upcoming events in multiple places to make sure everyone knows what is coming up - all you need to do with the new upcoming events feed is create it once on Facebook and it will auto-post to the feed!

So how do you get an event to appear on your feed?

Step 1
Create a new event on your Facebook page.

Step 2
Make sure you have published the event.

Step 3
Wait a little bit, and check back to see it on your site!

Yup, it really is that easy! Now it doesn't matter if they visit your website, or check your Facebook page, they will always know what is going on πŸ‘

Here are some best practices for creating a Facebook Event...

  1. Add a custom event cover photo; it doesn't need to have all the event details in it - keep it simple!

  2. Make sure the cover photo is the recommended dimensions for best results when being viewed on the feed - it should be 1920px wide by 1080px tall (16:9).

  3. Make sure to add a short and to-the-point event name, as well as a location.

  4. If it is a reoccurring event make sure you change the frequency to match - save yourself time so you don't have to recreate the event every time!

  5. Always set a Start/End date and time.

  6. Add ALL event details in the description - don't make anyone guess what they are! Plus, it will help eliminate people contacting you with questions!

  7. Always, always, always add a URL in the "Tickets" section! Even if you just link it to the contact page it will allow for people to know where they can go for more information, to RSVP, make a reservation, or buy tickets.Β

That’s it. You’re ready to start sharing your events πŸš€
